Engineered with a closed-cell XPS foam core and double-sided polymer-modified cement mortar coatings, our backer boards provide a dimensionally stable, moisture-proof substrate for ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and mosaic tile installations. Compared to traditional cement boards, our panels reduce structural dead load, eliminate the need for independent liquid waterproofing membranes on the board surface, and accelerate job-site installation.

Each panel is manufactured via a continuous extrusion and lamination process, ensuring a uniform core density and a high-strength bonding interface for tile adhesives.

Core Material: 100% Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) foam (Closed-cell structure, water absorption <= 0.5%).

Surface Layers: High-strength polymer cement mortar reinforced with alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh.

Compressive Strength: >= 300 kPa (at 10% deformation, ideal for heavy-duty floor applications).

Integrated Moisture Barrier: Unlike paper-faced gypsum or untreated wood panels, the closed-cell XPS core prevents moisture migration. The factory-applied polymer cement surface offers high tensile bond strength (>= 0.3 MPa), providing an optimal receptive surface for C2-class tile adhesives. Note: While the panel itself acts as a reliable primary water-resistant barrier, board joints and fastener penetrations still require sealing per standard wet-room protocols.

Structural Weight Reduction: Traditional fiber-cement boards weigh approximately 12 - 15 kg/m2, whereas XPS backer boards of equivalent thickness weigh only 3 - 5 kg/m2. This reduction minimizes dead-load stress on timber or steel framing, lowers logistics shipping overhead, and accelerates handling by installation crews.

On-Site Processability: Panels can be scored and snapped using a standard utility knife or cut with a fine-tooth handsaw. Pre-drilling is not required for mechanical washer fixings, allowing installers to complete layouts, perimeter trimming, and around-pipe notches rapidly on-site.

Wet Rooms & Shower Enclosures: Wall and floor substrates for domestic and commercial walk-in showers, steam rooms, and bathtub surrounds.

Thermal Floor Underlayment: Placed over concrete or wood subfloors beneath tile installations to reduce downward heat loss in underfloor heating systems.

Commercial Fit-Outs: Bulkhead framing, pipe boxing, and wall-lining in hotels, hospitals, and apartment complexes where speed of installation directly impacts project delivery timelines.
