Shower Foam Backer Board

In home bathroom decoration, the shower area is usually the most exposed to water vapor. If the wall base is not properly handled, it is prone to problems such as damp, hollowing or tile loosening after long-term use. Therefore, in some decoration projects, special base panels for wet area environments will be selected, such as shower foam backer board.

This type of panel usually adopts a foam core structure, and is compounded with cement-based material on the surface, so that it not only maintains a light weight, but also has a certain structural strength. For construction personnel, the light weight of the panel means more flexible installation, which can be cut and adjusted according to the size of the shower room, thereby reducing the difficulty of on-site construction.

In the actual construction process, the shower foam backer board is generally installed on the keel structure or wall base. The panels form an integral wall through sealing or joint filling treatment, and then the waterproof layer and tile paving are carried out. After the construction is completed, the panel will be hidden behind the tile layer to provide stable support for the wall system.

In recent years, with the gradual improvement of bathroom decoration standards, this type of panel specially designed for wet area environments has also appeared more and more in residential and hotel decoration projects.
